Wellbeing workshop for teens and tweens

This full day workshop is all about helping tween and teen girls navigate the big changes and influences they experience in this time of their life.

The session is playful, creative and fun, and limited to 8 places.

We focus and explore –

- building resilience

- building self-esteem, but particularly self-compassion. We learn to look out for unkind thoughts and how to manage them

- gain an understanding of brain changes in this age, and why it can lead to unhelpful behaviour. We learn to look out for the signals the brain and body is sending out (under times of pressure, stress, worry big emotions), and what to do when we Notice the signals

- building an understanding of healthy and unhealthy friendships, and how to manage them

- learning strategies for stress and pressure management, and self-care

All participants receive resources to take home to remind them of strategies earnt in the session.

Morning and afternoon tea provided.

 

Kate Foster, the facilitator, has worked with children and families for over 27 years, she is a Family Counsellor, and has completed accredited Mindfulness training with Dr Russ Harris, and Dr Louise Hayes.
