This in-depth session will explore:

- types of trauma and the impacts
- effects of trauma on child development and brain development
- understanding behaviours and triggers
- key behaviour support strategies
- importance of self-care

This session will assist you to create a trauma-informed approach.

Kate Foster (Bach. of Social Science) brings together her knowledge and experience as a Family Counsellor and an Early Childhood Educator to present about the impact of trauma on children, and ways to understand and support them.

Kate has attended training provided by Complex Trauma Training WA, and Trauma training provided by Department of Communities, Child Protection and Family Support.

Kate has also worked as a Family Counsellor in a counselling service funded by Department of Communities, Child Protection and Family Support, supporting family and children clients.
This session will be held on the 18th of March, 6-8pm, at City Hive (184 Marine Tce, Geraldton.
